PURPOSE:To increase electric discharge energy by shutting off primary current of primary coils in turn at the time of cylinder ignition period, inducing high voltage in the secondary coil twice and causing discharge through ignition plugs. CONSTITUTION:Starting ends of plural primary coils 1a, 1b and a secondary coil 2 are connected with the positive pole side of a battery 3. Terminating ends of plural primary coils 1a, 1b are linked with plural power transistors 7a, 7b in an amplifier 6, while the terminating end of the secondary coil 2 is connected with plural ignition plugs 5 through a distributor. And a shutting off control circuit 8, in which electric current in the primary coil 1a is cut off by entering ignition timing signals through power transistors 7a, 7b, which generates high voltage in the secondary coil 2 and causes discharge through the ignition plugs, at the same time shutting off electric current in the primary coil 1b and inducing high voltage again in the secondary coil 2 is formed in the amplifier 6.
