The installation is characterised in that it comprises a plane plate 8 on which the free end of a sleeve roller is fitted, this plate being provided, on each of its faces, with blades 9 moving away from the plate in order to ensure opening of the sleeves of the roller, this plate also comprising, on each of its faces, a pair of slightly separated parallel shafts 10, 11 and 12, 13 perpendicular to the direction of passage of the sleeve roller 2 and mounted with free rotation, a presser roller 14, 15 being provided in order to be applied longitudinally onto the two shafts of each of the pairs of shafts in order to grip the sleeves between them, one at least of the presser rollers 14, 15 being a drive roller. <IMAGE>
