The execution fundamental fuel injection quantity TPDMPi at this time is calculated in a calculating means 4 from the calculated fundamental fuel injection quantity Tp and the execution fundamental fuel injection quantity calculated in the preceding time. Further, the correction rate corresponding to the max. variation quantity of the fuel injection quantity is calculated in a calculating means 8 from the final execution fundamental fuel injection quantity QAC obtained in the preceding time. When a judging means 6 judges the transient state such as acceleration and deceleration, TPDMPi is corrected by a correcting means 9 on the basis of the transient correction coefficient calculated according to the transition state in a calculating means 7 and the max. variation-quantity corresponding correction rate, and set as QACYL in this time.
