<p>PURPOSE:To enable the easy rest/interlock control of a valve by arranging adjacently plural number of valve lifters in parallel and forming cylinders for respective lifters so as to pierce through them in the transverse direction on the same axis so that the movement of the piston fitted in each cylinder can be controlled. CONSTITUTION:At the time of low-speed or medium-speed operation, pressure oil supply into the cylinders 24 of valve lifters 13 is not carried out, and, while pistons 25 are in the position as shown in the drawing, only the valve lifter 13 on the right side is pressed to be moved by a cam part 16a, and the intake valve 7 on one side is kept closed. Next, in high-speed operating condition, when pressure oil is supplied to the cylinder 24 through a pipe 30 in which a solenoid valve is interposed, the piston 25 in the right side valve lifter 13 moves in the left direction against a spring 26, and is engagedly fitted in the cylinder 24 of the left side valve lifter 13. Thus, both valve lifters 13 are interlocked via pistons 25. In this case, the rotation of valve lifter 13 is prevented because a stopper 23 is engagedly fitted in a guide groove 13a formed on one side of the valve lifter.</p> |
