PURPOSE:An apparatus for cutting a scallion, capable of holding the scallion with a rolling and holding mechanism, cutting the unedible part of the root and stem parts with a cutter, and removing the cut unedible part with brushes. CONSTITUTION:A cutting apparatus having a scallion charging inlet 5 on the top surface of a base, an advanceable and retreative shutter 9 provided under the inlet 5, rolling and holding mechanism 14 having a holelike space for receiving one scallion 1 and a rolling band capable of holding the scallion 1 in the upright posture by winding around the trunk of the scallion 1 in the holelike space, advanceable and retreative disklike cutters 15 and 16 above and below the holding mechanism 14, and a cutting and removing mechanism 19 with small-diameter brushes on the outside above and below the cutters 15 and 16. |
