PURPOSE:To promote the decrease in acidity of a citrus fruit, by irradiating the fruit with light having a specific wavelength range and/or specific energy level. CONSTITUTION:Stored citrus fruits are irradiated with light having a wavelength of about >=600nm, or light having a wavelength of about <=550nm and an energy level of >=3.3nE/cm<2>, preferably >=4.0nE/cm<2>, or light having an energy level of >=4.0nE/cm<2>, preferably >=4.5nE/cm<2>. |
