The earplug comprises an elongate stalk 1 having a nose end 3 and an array of at least three hollow rearwardly extending flange elements 10, 20, 30, of serially increasing diameter from the nose end of the plug. The plug is formed of a resilient soft polymeric material such as a thermoplastic silicone rubber composition. The material forming the stalk may have a Shore A hardness of between 50 and 70 and that forming the flange elements of between 30 and 60. <IMAGE> |
