PURPOSE:To securely machine a tooth surface over a wide area by bringing the tooth surface of a machining gear into pressure contact and meshed with the middle area and both side areas in the direction of face width of a tooth surface of a gear to be machined in both parallel and inclined conditions. CONSTITUTION:A machining gear 1 is mounted on a supporting shaft 22 and inclined by theta deg. by rotating a cam 34, while a gear 2 to be machined is mounted on a supporting shaft 12 and meshed with the machining gear 1. Then, by operating a pressure cylinder 15 to press the gear 2 to be machined against the machining gear 1 at a certain pressing force, while rotating them at a certain number of revolution by means of a driving motor 25, to remove burrs on the end area of the tooth surface of the gear 2 to be machined. Under this condition, the supporting shaft 22 is continuously swung from a horizontal condition to an inclined condition to the other side, via a rotation connecting member 32 by means of the rotation of the cam 34, to remove burrs on the tooth surface in a middle area and the other end area. Thus, the tooth surface of the gear to be machined can be securely machined over a wide area with a single machining gear. |
