PURPOSE:To obtain a device with far less thickness and less number of parts by forming a polygon mirror on the outer periphery of a field magnet holding member. CONSTITUTION:In order to close the magnetic path of a field magnet 11, a collar part 10b is formed with a magnetic yoke. The outer periphery of the collar part 10b is polygonal, and a reflecting mirror is formed thereon by deposition, etc., whereby the rotating polygon mirror 12 is formed on the outer periphery of the field magnetic holding member 10. Thus the number of parts can be far reduced, and the thickness can be substantially made thinner.
