PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition capable of keeping the light- transmittance even if a large amount of glass fiber is compounded and giving a cured product having improved mechanical strength and decreased linear expansion coefficient, by compounding an ultraviolet-curable resin with glass fiber used as a filler. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) an ulraviolet-curable resin (e.g. phenol novolac epoxy resin, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, etc.) with (B) glass fibers of <=1mm in length and optionally other fillers such as hydrated alumina, talc, etc. (the ratio of the glass fiber in the whole filler is >=40wt%), and kneading the mixture. The amount of the glass fiber in the whole composition is >=30wt%. Since the incident light transmits the glass fiber or is irregularily reflected by the glas fiber, the mechanical strength of the composition can be improved without lowering the light- transmittance by compounding a large amount of glass fiber.
