PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer providing an elastomer having high yellowing resistance to NOx gases, by copolymerizing a cyclic ether with an amine compound containing plural hydroxyl groups by the use of a heteropoly acid having a specific number of coordinated water based on one molecule as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A heteropoly acid having <=15 coordinated water molecules based on one molecule and/or its salt [e.g., 12-tunstophosphoric acid-1-lithium, etc.) is used as a catalyst, one or more cyclic ether (e.g., tetrahydrofuran, etc.) containing at least one 5-membered ring cyclic ether are copolymerized with a cyclic ether containing nitrogen in the ring and a compound [e.g., bis-(2- hydroxyethyl)-n-butylamine, etc.] such as secondary amine, tertiary amine, etc., containing two or more hydroxyl groups in one molecule, to give the aimed polymer.
