PURPOSE:To correct an error when it happens in an optical path length and to set a reading magnification within a specified range by consisting a scanner unit with a reduction lens and a photoelectric conversion element and also consisting the said scanner unit that can be moved in parallel with a light axis. CONSTITUTION:A mirror unit B is attached to an optics substrate A and a scanner unit C is attrached, after the fitting projection (e) of the optics substrate A is fitted in the hole 29 of the one set out of three sets of fitting holes 29 on a specification plate 29, with screwing a screw 30 of the screw hole (d) of the optics substrate A through the oval hole 27 of the main body 22 of the scanner unit. When adjusting an optical path length, the scanner unit C can be moved in parallel with a light axis by loosening the screw 30 and relocating the position of the fitting hole 29 of the specification plate 28 that is fitting with the fitting projection (e) and thereby, the optical path length from an original reading point 4 to a photoelectric conversion element 11 can be gradually adjusted.
