PURPOSE:To improve cruising performance of a cruiser in the face of waves and enhance its rectilinear advancing nature by installing a torpedo-shaped submerged body through the interposition of a strut beneath the bottom of its bow part and a skeg with the triangular longitudinal section along the central line of the hull at its stern part and equalizing the longitudinal section area of the submerged body and the skeg. CONSTITUTION:A torpedo-shaped submerged body 1 is fixed through the interposition of a strut 2 to the down side of the bottom of a bow, while a pair of right and left propellers 4 as well as a pair of right and left rudders 5 are installed beneath the bottom of a stern part. Along the hull center line at the stern part a skeg 3 with the triangular longitudinal section with the edge of the stern forming one side of the triangle. And the longitudinal section area of the torpedo-shaped submerged body 1 and the strut 2 and that of the skeg 3 are equalized. The submerged body 1 curbs the hull movement in waves, thereby improving the cruising durability of the vessel, while the skeg 3 at the stern betters the rectilinear advancing performance of the ship body, enhancing the directional stability.
