摘要 A fuel injection pump is proposed, which serves for the fuel feed for internal combustion engines. The fuel injection pump comprises at least one pump piston (3) generating the pressure for injection and defining a pump working chamber (6). A relief duct (16) leaves the pump working chamber (6), in which duct a control device (20) controllable by an electronic control unit as a function of characteristic operating variables (22, 23, 24) of the internal combustion engine is provided, which during the delivery stroke of the pump piston (3) marks the start of delivery by closing the relief duct (16) and the end of delivery by opening the relief duct (16). The quantity of fuel not injected during the delivery stroke of the pump piston (3) can flow from the relief duct (16) into a measuring cylinder (28), where it displaces a measuring piston (30), the position of which can be measured by a sensor system (26) as a measure of the uninjected quantity of fuel and can be fed as an electrical measuring signal to the electronic control unit (21) for controlling the fuel injection quantity. <IMAGE>
