<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability and reliability of an input device by forming a selecting display means for displaying selected information such as a graphic by key codes, a retrieval information display means and a buffer memory and inputting the graphic information or the like through a switch of a detector. CONSTITUTION:The character/graphic input device is provided with an image information memory 8, a retrieval information memory 9 and a function selecting information memory 10 as memories for displaying information on a CRT display 1 and connected to a microcomputer 5. The contents of these memories 8-10 are converted into video signals by a video signal forming circuit 2 through a CRT control part 4 and a parallel/serial converting circuit 3 and displayed on the CRT display 11. A detector 12 for reading out the displayed characters and codes and a coordinate display circuit 11 are formed and the outputs of the detectors 12, 11 are inputted to the microcomputer 5. The microcomputer 5 is provided with a data register 6 and a mode register 7. Consequently, the microcomputer 5 can input specific codes, patterns, etc. optionally and can set up the contents of the retrieval information memory 9 optionally.</p> |
