The equipment consists of a large horizontal cylinder provided with a clamped lid over the front opening and another at the back. The cylinder is divided into two chambers by a partition wall diaphragm and traversed by a tubular axial shaft. A lower window is incorporated in the back cover. Shaft carries a number of radial arms ending in paddles joined by heavy chains which increase the stirring action. Below the filter there is a hopper in cylinder.
