PURPOSE:To enable unmanned operation, by providing a probe for reading the board information of a binary code and reading the board information on a printed circuit board at the time of testing and automatically reading test data. CONSTITUTION:When a printed circuit board to be tested is set to a printed circuit board testing apparatus and a state capable of performing a test can be established, a continuity/insulation testing probe 1 is contacted with a test region 11 and a test data reading probe 7 with the pad 13 of a commodity name region 12 except the current supply pad 10 thereof and a current supply probe 8 with the current supply pad 10 of the commodity name region 12. When a test data reading order is issued, the voltage supplied to the current supply probe 8 can be detected by the commodity reading probe 7 contacted with the pad 13 in the commodity name region and, by setting a voltage detected state to '1' and a voltage undetected state to '0', a commodity name constituted of a binary code can be automatically read and unmanned operation is enabled.
