<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a very thin polycarbonate film at low price by melting, kneading polycarbonate resin, extruding the kneaded resin through a flat die slit and taking up the extruded resin under a specified draw-down ratio. CONSTITUTION:Polycarbonate as material is melted, kneaded by an injection molding machine such as a uniaxial or a biaxial extruder, etc. and extruded from a flat die slit in a film form. The resin extruded in a film form is introduced into a cooling role with an adequate air gap and taken up. As for the take-up condition, the draw-down ratio is under 1/20 and the thickness of the film is 10mum. In this case, the draw-down ratio is shown by the thickness of the film produced / the thickness of the flat die lip. The range of 0.2-1mm.is desirable as the thickness of the die lip and the thickness of the lip should be selected arbitrarily by the molding conditions such as the molecular weight, the molding temperature, the die lip width, the extrusion output, etc. of the material resin.</p> |
