PURPOSE:To improve remarkably bending performance in welding of clad steels for which a high-purity ferritic stainless steel is used as a cladding metal by forming an intermediate weld metal layer consisting of an Nb-contg. 17 Cr ferritic stainless steel welding material. CONSTITUTION:The clad steels 2, 2 are subjected to one-side butt welding by using the high-purity ferritic stainless steel contg. 16-33wt% Cr and 0.75-3.5wt% Mo as the cladding metal 1. The claddign metals 1 are welded of the welding material consisting of the same compsn. as the compsn. of the cladding metals 1 from the base metal 2 surface side. The intermediate weld metal layer 3 is then formed by using the welding material consisting of 15.5-18wt% Cr, 7-15 Nb/C value (where <1.5wt% Nb), <=5wt% SiO, <=1wt% Mo and the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities. The weld metal layer 4 is formed by using the welding material having the compsn. equal to the compsn. of the base metal 2 for the remaining.
