The plant support comprises two arms hinqing together, each with a curved portion and one extending radially outwards, enclosing the stem and secured by a clamp to a vertical wire in the shut position. A protrusion on the radial portion of one arm engages in the opening in that of the other to lock them shut. The protrusion is hook-shaped with a flange (9) at right angles to the radial portion of the respective arm. On the end is a head (11) extending radially outwards and with a curved ramp face (12).
