PURPOSE:In an ozone generating tube consisting of a cylindrical outer electrode and an inner electrode, to improve both cooling efficiency and ozone generating efficiency, by providing the outer peripheral face of the outer electrode with a heat dissipation fin and welding a cylinder of dielectric material to the inner face of the outer electrode. CONSTITUTION:The heat dissipation fin 23 is attached to the outer peripheral face of the metallic tube 21 with a given length, the cylinder 221 of dielectric material having a smaller outer diameter than the inner diameter of the metallic tube 211 is inserted into the inner face of the metallic tube 221, an one end of the ends of the gap 24 formed between the metallic tube 21 and the cylinder 221 of dielectric material is sealed. Then, gases existing in the gap 24 are exhausted in vacuum, the cylinder 221 of dielectric material is welded to the inner face of the metallic tube 211 by heating continuously from the sealed end to the other end, to form an electric insulating lining layer. A cylindrical inner electrode consisting of a metallic tube is concentrically set in the prepared outer electrode, to give the aimed ozone generating tube.
