PURPOSE:To obtain a glass composition having low melting point, free from toxic substances such as lead, and capable of being baked at low temperature, by adding a specific amount of F2 to a matrix glass composed of P2O5, CaO, Na2O, TiO2, B2O3, Al2O3, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective glass composition having low melting point can be produced by adding 2-18mol of F2 to 100mol of matrix glass composed of 20-55(mol)% P2O5, 15-55% RO, 4-35% R2O, 0-20% TiO2, 0-20% B2O3, and 0-20% Al2O3 (RO is one or more compounds selected from CaO, ZnO, BaO, MgO and SrO, and R2O is one or more compounds selected from Li2O, Na2O, K2O and Cs2O).
