PURPOSE:To prevent a defect in the separation of transfer paper and to discharge the paper by stopping the function of a discharging means unless a developing means is loaded at a specific position. CONSTITUTION:The loading state of the developing device 13 is detected by a connector pin 41 and a connector socket 42 and a high voltage generating device 43 is controlled with the detection signal. When the device 13 is loaded at the specific position, a transfer charger 15 and a separation charger 16 operate normally and when the device 13 is not loaded at the specific position, on the other hand, no electric discharging is performed because they are not connected electrically. Therefore, even if the device 13 is not loaded forgetfully to cause a defect in loading, etc., the transfer paper 17 need not be brought into contact with the surface of a photosensitive body unnecessarily. |
