PURPOSE:To reduce colour error without requiring external memory, by providing with memory function in a device to do colour separation during one field. CONSTITUTION:This device includes an accumulating section 5 for accumulating signal charges generated at a photoelectric converter for a given period and a transferring section 6 for transferring horizontally the signal charges. The accumulating section 5 has a plural of cells corresponding to the photoelectric converting elements. For example R component light transmitted through a first filter R', is photoelectrically converted by a photodiode 4. After R signal charges are transferred to the accumulating section, the rotary plate is rotated by 120 deg., and thus, for example G component light transmitted through a second filter G', is photoelectrically converted by a photodiode 4. After G signal charges are transferred to the accumulating section, the rotary plate is further rotated by 120 deg., and thus, for example B component light transmitted through a third filter B', is photoelectrically converted. Since respective signal charges are fed to the transferring section and each signal of R, G and B is fed in parallel from the output sequentially, colour separation is made possible during one field without requiring external memory.
