PURPOSE:To raise the substantial efficiency of a compressor by detecting the low torque period of a torque applied to a crankshaft, and turning OFF the power supply during the low torque period, thereby always enabling the operation in high efficiency range. CONSTITUTION:A position sensor 16 which outputs a signal in the prescribed position range that the piston of a compressor element 9 becomes a low torque is provided. A signal is applied to a controller 15 within the low torque range, an electromagnetic contactor 14 is energized during the signal applying period, and power from a power source 11 to a motor 16 is turned OFF. Even if the power source is turned OFF, a motor 10 continues rotating, and the power supply is interrupted during low torque period. Thus, the motor 10 is operated only in high efficiency range. |
