PURPOSE:To obtain glossy and transparent sheet or film continuously by a method wherein second pushing means, pushing the rear surface of the sheet or the film against second chill roll, is provided at an opposing position whereat the sheet or the film is wound around the second chill roll. CONSTITUTION:The sheet or the film 21, turned on the half of first chill roll 22, is cooled quickly by the second chill roll 24, however, the sheet or the film is pushed against the second chill roll 24 in this case by the second pushing means or an auxiliary roll 25 in order to increase the cooling efficiency of the second chill roll 24. The auxiliary roll 25 is equipped with a cooling structure inside and is pushed by a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder 26 in order to obtain a sufficient pressing force. The material of the auxiliary roll 25 is a soft material, such as rubber or the like, capable of contacting the whole surface of the sheet or the film 21 with the second chill roll 24. |
