The valve component (12) is movable against the effect of a spring and when activated by a shock wave moves to seal against a seat (19) at the housing (3) outlet (8). It has a surface formed as a part of one cylindrical with the same curvature radius as the nner surface of the housing in the outlet area. The valve component is pivotable around an axis (13) on the inner surface of the housing between the inlet and the outlet, and is activated by the spring towards is open position defined by a stop (14). The component pivot axis has a position which, having regard for flow resistance which may occur, provides the shortest closure time. The damper blade has upwardly directed, curved, all-round edge parts which take up a shock wave and reduce air resistance during normal operation in the open position. The curvature radius of the edge parts is pref. approx. 5 mm. |
