PURPOSE:To form a coat film at a high pull-up speed by dipping a cylinder having a specified straightness into a coating fluid and pulling it up at a specified speed. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder 11 is fixed to a fixing member 24 engaged with a drive shaft 27, gradually moved down by driving a motor 26, and immersed into the coating fluid 22. The air inside the cylinder 11 is exhausted through an air exhausting pipe 28 to prevent foams. The motor 26 is driven to pull up the cylinder 11 out of the coating fluid 22 to form a coat film on the cylinder 11. The straightness on the outer circumference of the cylinder 11 is controlled to <=150 mum, and even when pull-up speed is raised to <=20mm./min, the coat film formed on its outer circumference can be formed in a uniform film thickness. The coating fluid can be embodied by a coating fluid for forming a photoconductive layer contg. a photoconductor and a binder resin. |
