摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the reliability for detecting a breakage by constituting a titled device so that a sensitivity of an acoustic emission (AE) sensor is set automatically to an optimum value in accordance with a use tool, and also based on a working position of an object to be worked. CONSTITUTION:An AE signal processing part 8 detects a signal of a breakage, etc. of a tool from an AE sensor 7, and applies it to a CPU10 through an input/ output interface 9. To the CPU10, an RAM12 for storing the sensitivity information, etc. of the sensor corresponding to a standard distance of the tool is connected, and also a false breakage signal generator 5 and a timer 13 for measuring a distance of a sensor 7, etc. are connected. The CPU10 gives a prescribed driving level to the generator 5 through a driving circuit 6, based on these inputs, and adjusts a sensitivity of the sensor in each position, based on an AE signal level obtained from the processing part 8. Also, it is held successively in the RAM12, and also a control is executed so that the sensitivity of the sensor 7 is set to the highest sensitivity in accordance with a position of the tool which is used thereafter, therefore, the reliability for detecting a breakage is improved.
