A control valve has a housing (1), on which a supply connection (12), a venting connection (31) and a connection (19) for a brake cylinder (21), especially a spring-loaded brake cylinder, are provided. A hollow double valve body (6), which interacts with an inlet seat (9) and an outlet seat (26), is spring-suspended adjacent to a supply chamber (10), the outlet seat (26) being displaceable by an actuating spindle (32), extending through the double valve body (8), against the force of a spring (27). In the housing (1), a supply and stepping piston (3) enclosing the double valve body (6) is provided, which piston carries the inlet seat (9) and in which is arranged the supply chamber (10) permanently connected to the supply connection (12). The supply and stepping piston (3) is displaceably supported in the housing (1) by way of two seals (4 and 5) arranged on the same diameter and is supported on one of its sides on a graduating spring (16). On the other side it adjoins a rocker chamber (18) connected to the connection (19) for the brake cylinder (21). <IMAGE>
