<p>PURPOSE:To cause no engaging failure, etc. of a timing belt, and to execute smoothly an opening and closing operation of the first unit by dividing the body into the first and the second units, and placing a driving side pulley of a photosensitive drum, etc. to a specified position. CONSTITUTION:An upper unit 29 of an electronic copying machine body 1 is supported pivotally so as to be freely turnable through a pivotally supporting shaft 31, and connected to a driving side pulley 33 and a photosensitive drum 6. A timing belt 37 is extended to a driven side pulley 34. The driving side pulley 33 is placed in a slightly upper direction of a straight line passing through the pivotally supporting shaft 31 and the driven side pulley 34 of the time when the upper unit 29 is opened half, and in a state that the upper unit 29 is opened, a distance between the pulley 33 and the pulley 34 becomes short by (s), and the timing belt 35 is loosened a little. Even if the upper unit 29 is opened and closed, the timing belt 35 remains engaged to the pulleys 33, 34, therefore, no engaging failure is generated.</p> |
