PURPOSE:To shorten the axial length of an armature by providing a step on the armature core side end of a segment, and connecting the upper and lower wires of armature coil with the step. CONSTITUTION:A brush 1 which slides on a segment 2 is held by a brush holder 4. A step 2a having an outer diameter smaller than that of the segment 2 which slides on the brush 1 at the side end of the armature core 6 on the segment 2. The upper and lower wires 3a, 3b of the armature coil 3 are connected with the step 2a. Thus, the height of projecting the coil 3 from the sliding surface of the brush of the segment 2 decreases, and the armature core side end of the holder 4 can be approached to the core 6 side, and the axial length of the segment 2 can be accordingly shortened. |
