PURPOSE:To form a highly reliable gas discharge device easily, by winding conductive wire on the backside plate by which electrodes and leading wires are formed, and inserting to connect a driving circuit plate between the backside plate and the leading wires. CONSTITUTION:Inside the backside plate 2, longitudinally on the surface to be opposite to the frontside plate 3, a mixture of a low melting point glass powder and a ceramic powder is printed linearly and baked up to form numerous parallel lines to make up barriers 13, and a number of side grooves 15, rectangular to the direction of the barriers 13, are formed over the barriers 14. On the outer side edges of the plate 2, the same material as the barriers 13 is printed and baked up longitudinally and laterally to make up fixing members 16 and 17 with a difference in level, and anode leads and cathode leads 9 and 10 are crossed on the fixing members in a two level crossing. Then, on the plate 2, is wound conductive wires longitudinally and laterally, the wires placed in the longitudinal grooves 14 and in the lateral grooves 15 inside the plate 2 are used as anodes 7 and cathodes 8 respectively, and leads 9 and 10 are arranged outside the airtight container 5. Moreover, discharge cells are formed at the crossing points of the electrodes 7 and 8. |
