PURPOSE:To prevent spotting owing to the decrease of electrostatic chargeability and electric charge implantation and to obtain an image quality having the excellent uniformity by forming a charge implantation blocking layer by using a soln. prepd. by dissolving a silane coupling agent into a solvent mixture composed of a specific compsn. CONSTITUTION:The charge implantation blocking layer of a photosensitive body constituted by laminating successively the charge implantation blocking layer contg. the silane coupling agent, charge generating layer, charge transport layer and, if necessary protective layer on a metallic base is formed by coating the soln. prepd. by dissolving the silane coupling agent into a solvent mixture consisting of ethanol, water and aliphat. alcohol of >=4C and drying the coating. The uniform coating and forming of the charge implantation blocking layer are made possible by using the silane coupling agent soln. having such solvent compsn. The photosensitive body obtd. in the above-mentioned manner maintains the initial electrostatic chargeability without deterioration and obviates the spotting of the image arising from the charge implantation. The excellent image quality is thus obtd. |
