PURPOSE:To reproduce the titled card by either a photomagnetic means or a magnetic recording means by applying both photomagnetic recording and a magnetic recording to the card at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A photomagnetic recording medium layer 20 is formed on a transparent base 10 and a magnetic recording medium layer 30 is formed on the layer 20 to form a photomagnetic card C, which is used as an information recording medium, and the same information is recorded at the same time to the photomagnetic recording layer 20 and the magnetic recording layer 30 by applying a comparatively large output of laser ray L and/or a high density magnetic flux M. In applying photomagnetic recording/reproduction, since recording/reproduction is applied by contacting directly the magnetic head substantially to them magnetic recording layer 30 not through the photomagnetic recording layer 20, high sensitivity recording/reproduction is attained. Further, the same information is reproduced by either the photomagnetic means or the magnetic means. |
