PURPOSE:To obtain a titled nozzle for sticking uniformly a plating layer of a desired thickness by providing plural gas jet direction changing control blades in parallel at equal intervals in the nozzle width direction so as to be turnable in the nozzle, and constituting it so as to control a jet direction of a gas. CONSTITUTION:In a gas wiping nozzle 5 for adjusting an adhesion quantity of a molten metal which has been made to adhere to the surface of a metallic band to be plated P immediately after a molten metal plating, plural plateshaped gas jet position changing control blades 12 are provided on a supporting body 14 vertically at equal intervals so as to be turnable through a turning shaft 15, in a nozzle box 11 having a gas blow-out port 13 opened in a shape of a slit in the center and a gas leading-in port on its opposite side. Said control blade 12 rectifies a jet gas, also turns in accordance with a plate width of said metallic band P by an operating mechanism consisting of a cylinder 17, an arm 16, a rod 19, etc., and controls a gas jet direction. In this way, an edge overcoating of the metallic bard P is prevented effectively and plating quality is improved. |
