PURPOSE:To clearly print even where a printing area include a curved surface, by a construction wherein type-fitting bases energized in the direction for protruding by spring are provided in guide holes provided in radial form with an axis of a main body of a type wheel as a center, and a type is provided integrally with each of the bases through an elastic layer therebetween. CONSTITUTION:for example, in a production line of CRT or the like, a printer for printing an index of the kind of products on each of various kinds of CRTs fed along the line conducts printing on a body to be printed by selecting desired types 50 through rotating a type wheel 7(8) provided with a plurality of types 50 at the outer periphery thereof. The guide holes 44 are provided in a radial form with the axis of the main body of the type wheel 7(8) as a center. The type-fitting bases 45 energized in the protruding direction by springs are provided in the holes 44 so that they can protrude from and retract into the holes. The type 50 is provided integrally with each of the bases 45 through the elastic layer 49 therebetween. Accordingly, since the types 50 in the type wheel 7(8) are provided with three-dimensional cushioning property through the synergistic effect of the springs and the elastic layers 49, clear printing free of nonuniformity can be conducted even where a printing area of the body to be printed includes a curved surface. |
