PURPOSE:To reduce the entire noise by providing a skirt-shaped sound shielding plate at the lower portion of a transformer tank, coating the entire lower periphery of the tank therewith, thereby shielding the noise due to reflecting sound. CONSTITUTION:Reinforced beams 3a, 3b are so mounted at to horizontally dispose a core and a transformer body made of winding in space vertically of the side plate 2 of a tank 1 which contains the core and the body together with insulating oil. A skirt-shaped sound shielding plate is provided to coat the entire lower periphery of the tank 1. Noise generated from the body is transmitted from the side plate 2 externally as designated by an arrow 6, while noise generated from the lower portion of the tank 1 is reflected on a foundation 5 or the ground as designated by an arrow 7, and the noise is amplified by the reflected sound. However, the noise from the lower portion is shielded by the plate 4, not radiated externally to prevent the largest noise from the lower portion, thereby largely reducing the entire noise. |
