Mutant human T-cell line esp. ATCC CRL 8295

摘要

(1) Stable 6-thioguanine (I)-resistant mutant of the lymphoblastoid cell line CEM and secreting constitutively a high titre of a non-mitogenic non-cytotoxic T-cell suppressor inducer factor. The mutant cell line is esp. ATCC CRL 8295 or 8296. (2) Suppressor inducer factor having the following properties: (a) a dilution to 10 to minus 6, it suppresses at least 90% of mitogen-induced T-cell proliferation; (b) it is contained in a protein of molecular wt. about 110000 daltons; (c) it shows max. suppressor activity at physiological pH; (d) it is inactivated at 56 deg.C; (e) it is non-mitogenic and non-cytotoxic; (f) it suppresses mouse spleen cell proliferation to mitogenic stimulation with the same potency as it suppresses human peripheral blood lymphocyte proliferation to mitogenic stimulation. (3) Non-mitogenic non-cytotoxic T-cell suppressor factor suppressing at least 90% of T-cell proliferation to mitogenic stimulation at a dilution of 2 times 10 to minus 4. Its suppressive activity is blocked by rhamnose.
