PURPOSE:To unnecessitate the exchange of gears and cams in the change of package shape in the case of grade change, by calculating the traverse width by a micro-computer based on the desired package shape, and moving the ring rail according to the computed result. CONSTITUTION:A yarn is wound by a draw twisting frame to form a package 1. In the above process, the shape of the package corresponding to the grade and use of the yarn is preset as a function, the traverse width 7 corresponding to the wound diameter is calculated by a micro-computer by the aid of given function in the course of winding, and the ring rail is shifted according to the computed result. |
