A device for fastening and sealing a diaphragm 4, which may be made of an elastic or flexible material, is shown. The said diaphragm is provided in a press for pressing out substances which contain liquids, i.e. agricultural and chemical products, for example supporting profile rails 9 being fastened to the worm flanks 20 in a press which operates continuously in this manner and has a conveying worm 19 with upright worm flanks 20 which extend in a wormlike manner, the said rails 9 being situated at a distance from the pipe of the conveying worm 19, an inflatable flexible tube (13) being arranged between the supporting profile rail 9 and the inserted edge 12 of the diaphragm 4. <IMAGE>
