PURPOSE:To detect light passing through areas of many magnetic matters with a small number of reading terminals, by making use of the shift of a bubble magnetic domain which is produced within the magnetic matter by the Faraday rotation. CONSTITUTION:A neon ion (Ne<+>) is implanted to a Bi substitute GdGaIG (garnet) film 11 grown on a GGG substrate 16 to form a no-ion implanted area 18. The film 11 is held between a polarizer 13 and an analyzer 14, and a photodetecting element 12 is set at the opposite side of to the film 11 of the analyzer 14. While permanent magnetis 15 and 15' are provided at the outsides of the polarizer 13 and the analyzer 14. The light reaching the film 11 after passing through a center hole 21 of the magnet 15 and the polarizer 13 reaches the element 12 and delivered only when a bubble magnetic domain is produced within the film 11 by the Faraday rotation. |
