NEW MATERIAL:The peroxidase having the following characteristics. Optimum pH, 5-7; optimum temperature, 30-40 deg.C; stable at 5-10pH; stable at <=50 deg.C; molecular weight, about 36,000 by SDS-polyacrylamide electrophoresis (using ampholine); isoelectric point, about 3.4pH by isoelectric fractionation; free from isozyme. USE:An oxidizing enzyme active in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. PREPARATION:Arthromyces ramosus (FERM P-7754) which is a microbial strain separated from soil is cultured, and the objective peroxidase is separated from the culture product. The microbial strain belongs to Deuteromycotina subdivition, Hyphomycetes class, and is characterized by colorlessness, septum, branches, etc. |
