<p>The i.c. engine fuel injection distributor pump comprises a rotating distributor member, with a cross-bore contg. a high-pressure pump plunger driven by a cam ring (17) with an internal cam projection. A low-pressure pump feeds the high-pressure pump, with a speed-dependent pressure via a centrifugally actuated throttle valve. - Fuel injection timing of the high-pressure pump delivery is varied by angular adjustment of the cam ring via two parallel pistons, which act on a radial arm (35) on this ring against return springs (41,48). One piston (46) is subject to the speed-dependent feed pump pressure whilst the other piston (39) is subjected to that pressure via an actuated valve for max. rotation of the cam ring when the engine is cold and up to a pre-determined engine load.</p> |
