PURPOSE:To elevate a detecting efficiency with increasing a practical X ray absorption rate by arranging a scintillator so as to make an angle for an incident radioactive rays. CONSTITUTION:A scintillator is arranged at the angle theta for X ray beam 2. The practical thickness of a scintillator for the X ray is made as much as (1/sintheta) times accordingly and the X ray absorption rate is increased. On the other hand the distance between the absorption position of the X ray photon and a light detector 8 depends upon only the scintillator thickness (t) without scoroding to the angle theta. The detecting efficiency is therefore elevated in accordance with approaching the scintillator 7 in parallel to the X ray beam 2.
