发明名称 COLD SECONDARY PROCESSING METHOD OF FOAMED-EXTRUDED ARTICLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve productivity by quickening a molding cycle, by performing secondary processing by pressing thermoplastic resin-foamed-extruded article, whose expansion magnification is less than five times, to a desired thickness up to about one third of the original thickness without heating the same. CONSTITUTION:When thermoplastic resin (when painting properties are taken into consideration, ABS resin is optimum) whose expansion magnification is less than five times is made into raw materials, a shape of an extruded article can be either the platelike extruded article or an irregular shape extruded article. The thermoplastic resin can be pressed up to the extent of one third of the original thickness by applying only pressing to the same without applying any heating to the same. As for pressure to be applied, although rather the high pressure is required naturally as compared with a case within the pressure is applied after heating has been applied to the same beforehand, a molding cycle can be curtailed down to less than one tenth, and secondary-processed article to be obtained becomes the article having identical properties with one obtained by performing press processing through heating, which is paintable as it is and the surface of the same is smooth and beautiful. As for an example put into operation, althrough pressure of 4kg/cm<2> was required to process a quantity of compression of an ABS resin-foamed-extruded article (thickness if 15mm.), whose expansion magnification is 1.8 times, by 2mm. within a mold under the normal temperature, an unloading cycle from the mold after pressing was 4-5 seconds.
