摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a titled electrode use core wire which has improved the weldability under a dead low temperature environment and the crack resistance of a weld metal by packing the inside of a carbon steel sleeve with a packing material granulated from a mixed raw material powder of a metallic (alloy) powder and a carbonate, a fluoride and an oxide of a metal. CONSTITUTION:A carbonate, a fluoride and an oxide of metals such as CacO3, MgCO3, CaF2, SiO2, TiO2, etc., or their composite is mixed in a weight ratio of 0.3-7 in a metallic powder or an alloy powder of Fe powder, Fe-Si, Fe-Mn, etc. A liquid binder such as water glass, etc. is added to this powder raw mate rial, and it is kneaded and granulated. This flux is converted to a bond or sintered at 400-800 deg.C, and a packing material is obtained thereby. Subsequently, the inside of a carbon steel sleeve having no opening in the lengthwise direction is packed with this packing material at a packing rate of 3-30% against the weight of the sleeve. According to this low-hydrogen covered electrode, a weld ing work under a low temperature environment is executed easily, and the welding work efficiency can be improved.
