PURPOSE:To obtain an image pickup output signal with excellent S/N by prolonging a selection time of each photoelectric converting element and reading a signal charge in a low speed so as to prevent generation of spike noise due to floating capacitance. CONSTITUTION:When a picture element group of a row is selected by a vertical scanning circuit VS at a point of time, a vertical scanning switch element switch Ys in each picture element range PE of the row is conducted, and a drain of each amplifier FETTA is connected to the 1st horizontal scanning switch elements XLS1- XLSn conducted sequentially by the 1st horizontal scanning circuit HS1. Each three-picture element scanning period's share is conducted by a control signal of a three-picture element scanning period length and the result is given to capacitive element CH1-CH4, the stored signal charge is read to an output circuit by horizontal scanning switch elements XHS1-XHS4 under the control of the 2nd horizontal scanning circuit HS2 at each picture element scanning period and becomes an image pickup output. |
