Device serving as an anti-theft device for an electrical receiver and/or reader appliance 1 in order to facilitate its introduction into a cutout 8 of a mounting wall 7 of a motor vehicle and its extraction from the latter. The device is provided with a first contact adapting bar 11 on the rear wall 19 of the appliance. In addition, the device comprises a housing 41 which can be anchored in the receiving cutout 8 and closed, at its rear side, by a second contact adapter bar 43, in which the appliance 1 may be inserted to ensure the contacting of the two contact adapter bars 11, 43. On the casing of the appliance, behind the front plate 15, there is fixed a collar 9 which is provided with a latch 37 which, projecting forwards, gives a finger hold and has, on a locking portion extending towards the rear, between the casing 13 of the appliance and the housing 41, stop projections 40 which, when the appliance 1 is inserted in place, hook in a removable manner behind the latches 59 of the housing 41. <IMAGE>
