<p>PURPOSE:To start a program at a speed equivalent to that of a cartridge just with use of the transfer time of the program in a single time and also to attain a simple change of the program, by using a RAM cartridge incorporated into a battery. CONSTITUTION:A program stored in a program tape 21 is first transferred to a RAM2 via a CMT interface 4, a signal bus 6 and a CPU1 and then to a RAM cartridge 40 via the bus 6 and a connector 5. In this case, the cartridge 40 incorporates a power supply 42 and therefore the program can be held even in case the power supply of the main body of a personal computer is cut off. Therefore, the program held by the cartridge 40 is transmitted to the CPU1 via a connector 5 and the bus 6 when the power supply is applied to the computer 10. Thus it is possible to perform the simple changing and rewriting actions of the program at a speed equivalent to the cartridge 40 just by means of the transfer time from a tape 21 in a single time by using the cartridge 40 incorporating a battery 42.</p> |
